Pets on Wheels and Rotary Charities!

Time to break out your bikes, wagons, skateboards, unicycles and any other wheels you own to join the Hunt Valley Rotary Club and hundreds of others across Baltimore County as we Wheel to Heal on the historic NCR trail!

Wheel to Heal will be a rolling, rollicking good time taking place on October 29, 2016. Participants on the 3 mile loop on the NCR trail must be self-propelling something with wheels. You can peddle, push, or pull anything you want as long as it has at least one wheel. We’re hoping for bikes, strollers, wheel chairs, wagons and maybe even small floats! Put your wife in a wheel-barrel and join the fun!

Aptly, this year’s primary beneficiary is Pets on Wheels, a non-profit organization that brings therapy animals to facilities across Maryland for friendly visits. Pets on Wheels has over 480 volunteer teams and currently visits over 300 facilities on the entire western shore of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay.

Our beautiful three mile loop is ready to ride for kids of all ages and is handicap accessible.

Children Under 12 - $10

Individual - $20

The parade route takes about 1 hour for an adult to walk it.  Worried you won't last that long pulling a wagon with 5 kids in it and you can't convince them to pull you?  No problem! You can turn around and head back to the start at any time.

What to expect on the big Day :

9:00 to 10:00am.  Check in

Come early and enjoy coffee, vendors and music.  Drive into the NCR trail head parking lot on Paper Mill Road in Ashland, MD and drop off your ride and other gear in our secure drop off spot.  Follow signs for parking.   Our shuttle service will return you to the trail head where you will find some fun activities and food while anticipating the official start.  If you come early enough, you may score parking at the Trail head!

Along the way you will have opportunity to participate in multiple adventures including a phone scavenger hunt, corn hole, balloon animals, duck pond, doughnut dunk and more.  Get points and win prizes!

Restroom facilities will be at the trailheads in Ashland and Phoenix, and along the route
